DJ Koessler is the founder of Koessler Strategies, a boutique social impact agency.

A veteran of three U.S. presidential campaigns, DJ has spent most of his career on the front lines of politics and media. In 2020, DJ led social media, digital rapid response, and digital surrogates for Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign, overseeing owned and earned platform strategies.

With over a decade of experience, DJ honed his digital chops at Blue State and has held senior roles at leading advocacy organizations, including Climate Power and Stand Up America.

A master’s graduate of Columbia University, he returned to campus to teach courses in strategic communication. In addition to the Impact Communications Institute board, DJ serves on the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund campaign board.

A Michigan native, he lives in New York City.
